Eight-Day Mini Kumbh Festival Kicks Off in Banswara on Wednesday

Banswara, The first-ever Mini Kumbh in Banswara will begin at the Laliwaw Math area on November 20, Wednesday, and continue until November 27. Thousands of devotees are expected to gather for this eight-day religious celebration.

Extensive preparations have been made for the grand event. The entire Laliwaw region has been beautifully decorated with lights and ornaments. The event will be inaugurated with a grand welcome for prominent saints and spiritual leaders, including Shri 1008 Shri Madhavacharya Maharaj, the head of the event, and other renowned saints from across the country.

The festival will commence at 8 AM on Wednesday with prayers to Lord Vinayak and the principal deity of Laliwaw Math, Lord Shri Padmanabh, followed by the worship of the previous spiritual heads’ shrines and idols. A series of religious rituals will take place throughout the day, including the entry into the mandap (ritual hall) and the procession.

Haimadri Ritual at Peetambara Ashram

At 8:30 AM, the Haimadri ritual will take place at the Shri Peetambara Ashram near the Laliwaw Math. This will involve Vedic rituals, yajnas (sacrificial fires), and other religious practices, with participation from priests and devotees. The gathering will then move to the Ashram where the rituals will continue until 11:30 AM.

Grand Procession at 2 PM

On the inaugural day, a massive procession will start at 2 PM from Siddhnath Mahadev Temple in Kushalbagh. The procession will pass through key locations including Gandhi Statue, Shri Raghunathji Temple, Shri Ram Bazaar, Palace Road, Shri Narsingh Temple, Shri Mahalakshmi Chowk, Azad Chowk, Shri Atal Ganesh Temple, Kumharwada, and Surajpol, before culminating at the Laliwaw Math.

The procession will feature saints, spiritual leaders, devotees, and various cultural performances, including a mounted procession carrying the idol of Shri Padmanabh, flag bearers, kalash yatra (holy water procession), floats, and more, with thousands of devotees joining in.

Welcoming of Renowned Saints

The event has attracted prominent saints from across India, including Shri Jagadguru Ayodhyacharya Maharaj (Haridwar), Mahamandaleshwar Ramkrishnadas Maharaj (Puri, Odisha), Mahamandaleshwar Garibdas Maharaj (Bhavnagar, Gujarat), Mahant Bhaktachandras Maharaj (Nasik), and others from places like Gujarat, Odisha, and Uttar Pradesh. These spiritual leaders were warmly welcomed at Laliwaw Math.

Observing the Event Preparations

Shri Jagadguru Shri Teeladwaragadya Acharya, along with other saints and spiritual leaders, visited various event venues including the Yagya Mandap, Bhagwat Katha Mandap, and Annakoot site, to inspect arrangements. At the Yagya Mandap, priests provided detailed information on the rituals and practices being followed during the festival.

Bhagwat Katha Sessions from November 21 to 27

The Bhagwat Katha (spiritual discourse) will take place daily from 1 PM to 5 PM, from November 21 to 27. The sessions will be conducted by revered spiritual leaders such as Shri Agarmalook Peethadhishwar and Swami Shri Rajendras Das Devacharyaji Maharaj, offering insightful teachings and spiritual wisdom to the attendees.

This grand religious celebration is being held in the sacred memory of the late Mahant Narayandas Maharaj, the former head of Laliwaw Math, and is being organized under the auspices of Shri Madhavacharya Maharaj.
