Grand Celebration of Maharishi Garg Rishi Jayanti in Shahpura

Shahpura : A grand celebration was held at Malini Vatika, Shahpura, to mark the birth anniversary of Maharishi Garg Rishi, organized by the Garg Brahmin (Saryuparin) Mahasabha Bhilwara and Maharishi Garg Rishi Janmotsav Samiti. The event featured a majestic procession from Malini Vatika to Trimurti Chauraha, showcasing beautiful tableaux of Maharishi Garg and Radha-Krishna. The devotees' enthusiasm was palpable, and the atmosphere was filled with devotion. The procession was welcomed with flower showers at several locations.

The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Shri Shri 1008 Mahant Mohan Sharan Ji Shastri from Nimbark Ashram, Bhilwara, and Shri Shri 108 Mahant Santdas Ji from Hathi Patha Ashram, Bhilwara. They offered garlands to the portraits of Maharishi Garg and Maa Gayatri, infusing spiritual energy into the event.

In their addresses, the Mahants highlighted the significant contributions of Maharishi Garg, particularly in astrology and cultural wisdom. They emphasized that Maharishi Garg was one of the great pillars of Indian culture and that his life serves as a beacon of righteousness, knowledge, and harmony.

Brijraj Krishna Upadhyay, Executive President of the Sarva Brahmin Mahasabha, stressed the importance of preserving the cultural heritage of the Garg Brahmin community and passing it on to future generations. He urged the community members to unite for the progress and upliftment of society.

Dinesh Kumar Garg, President of the committee, and Chief Coordinator Dhirendra Nagar welcomed the Mahants, dignitaries, and community members with shawls, garlands, and copies of the Garg Samhita as a token of gratitude.

Shiv Prasad Garg Biliya shed light on Maharishi Garg’s life, detailing his role in Krishna Leela and his contributions during the Dwapara Yuga, including his connection with Kaikeya, the maternal homeland of Bharata from the Treta Yuga.

The event also honored talented Garg students for their academic and social contributions. Special recognition was given to the philanthropists and organizers of the celebration. The event saw the participation of a large number of devotees and dignitaries from Shahpura and nearby regions.

Speakers at the ceremony underscored the significance of Maharishi Garg’s teachings and encouraged the community to follow in his footsteps.

The stage was conducted by Satyanarayan Nagar.

Notable attendees included Bherulal Garg, Bhanwar Garg Lodiyana, Gopal Narayan Nagar, Neelam Sharma (President of Mewar’s Youth Brahm Shakti Women’s Wing), Gopal Ji Sukhwal (President of Singh Rishi Seva Sansthan), Kamlesh Paliwal (National President of Parasara Samaj), Balkrishna Ji Parasara (National President), Shankar Lal Parasara (State President), Shyam Parasara (State Secretary of Parasara Samaj), Usha Parik and Sandhya Rani Sharma from Youth Brahm Shakti, Pankaj Sugandhi, Avinash Sharma, Rajesh Garg, Govind Garg, and other prominent figures.
