Constitution Day Celebrated by Legal Services Authority ...

Pratapgarh,  On the occasion of Constitution Day and Law Day, the Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority, Jaipur, under its directives, organized a series of awareness programs, seminars, a rally, and an oath-taking ceremony today. The event was led by District Legal Services Authority President Omi Purohit (District and Sessions Judge) and Secretary Kedarnath.

The legal awareness program was held at the Girls' Hostel in Timarva, where the importance of the Constitution was highlighted. Advocate Harish Bathi, the Chief Legal Advocate of LADC, spoke about the significance of the Constitution and shared vital information about the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act. He explained that under this Act, both conducting and participating in child marriages are punishable offenses. During the event, a pledge was taken by the participants to neither engage in nor support child marriage.

Dinesh Chandra Telkar, Deputy Advocate of LADC, addressed the girls, explaining the objectives of celebrating Constitution Day, the Preamble of the Constitution, and the fundamental duties and rights outlined in the Constitution.

Secretary Kedarnath provided further insights into the utility of the Constitution, stressing its necessity and the legal provisions it contains. He also conducted a brief question-and-answer session with the girls to assess their educational understanding. Kedarnath encouraged the students to pursue higher education and strive for success, emphasizing the importance of continuous effort and dedication.

On this occasion, the girls and staff members also took an oath to honor the Constitution. At the conclusion of the program, the Principal of the Residential School expressed gratitude to the Legal Services Authority Secretary and LADC officials for organizing the event.

The program concluded with a vibrant awareness rally led by the girls. The successful execution of the event was made possible by the active cooperation of the hostel and school staff.
