New Delhi: To enhance passenger convenience, Indian Railways has added 583 new General (GS) coaches to its fleet in the last three months. These coaches have been integrated into 229 regular trains, benefitting thousands of passengers daily. By November, over 1,000 new coaches will be added to 647 trains, accommodating an additional one lakh passengers daily. Over the next two years, more than 10,000 GS and sleeper coaches will join the fleet. These lightweight and robust LHB coaches will ensure safer, faster, and more comfortable travel for passengers, significantly improving the rail journey experience.
