Jaipur, 500 army personnel, veterans, and enthusiastic citizens participated in the 5-kilometer Promo Run held in Jaipur, organized to honor the bravery and sacrifices of the Indian Army. The run was flagged off by Lieutenant General Harbinder Singh Vandra, Chief of Staff, South Western Command, from the NCC Complex, JLN Marg, Jaipur. Following the remarkable success of the first Promo Run held on 13th October 2024 at Vijay Dwar, Vaishali Nagar, this event further strengthened the message of fitness and nationalism, resonating across every corner of Jaipur.
The second Promo Run, held as a precursor to the 'Honor Run' on 8th December 2024, aimed to promote gratitude and unity towards the martyrs and heroes of the Indian Army, while also encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle. The event saw soldiers, veterans, and civilians running together, symbolizing the unshakable bond between the army and the public. The enthusiastic participation of Jaipur residents showcased collective respect and commitment to the nation, setting the stage for the 'Honor Run,' which will honor the sacrifices of Jaipur's Indian Army personnel and their families.
This run also served as a rehearsal for the prestigious 'Honor Run,' scheduled for 8th December 2024. Under the theme "Ek Daud Veeron Ke Naam", the event will feature 21-kilometer, 10-kilometer, and 5-kilometer timed races, along with a 3-kilometer non-timed race. The event will be flagged off by Colonel Rajvardhan Singh Rathore, Minister of State for Industry and Commerce, Information Technology, and Communications. The historic event will see the participation of several prominent marathon runners, National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets, schoolchildren, and thousands of citizens.
