Kota : Dr. S.D. Purohit from Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota, has earned a place in the 2024 edition of the list of the world's top 2% scientists, published by Stanford University, Stanford, California, in collaboration with Elsevier.
According to Vikram Rathore, the Assistant Public Relations Officer of RTU, Dr. Purohit, a distinguished mathematician and currently an Associate Professor of Mathematics at RTU, has made significant contributions in the fields of applied mathematics and mathematical biology. Upon this achievement, Vice-Chancellor Prof. S.K. Singh extended his congratulations to Dr. Purohit, calling this global recognition a commendable step towards enhancing RTU's international stature. He remarked that this honor reflects the high quality of Dr. Purohit's research and will serve as an inspiration for young scientists and researchers, helping India gain a new identity on the global scientific platform.
Dr. Purohit stated that this recognition is a significant milestone in his life, attributing his success to his parents.
He has published 250 research papers in high-impact journals, with a total citation count of 4,254 on Google Scholar. Dr. Purohit has an H-index of 35 and an I-10 index of 121. He also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Lebanese American University, Beirut Campus, Lebanon. For the past 20 years, Dr. Purohit has conducted research on fractional calculus, integral transforms, mathematical modeling, and mathematical biology, elevating RTU Kota's research excellence to new heights on the global stage.
