Flipkart Partners with NCERT to Boost Educational Access

Udaipur: Flipkart, India’s homegrown e-commerce platform, has signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). This collaboration seeks to ensure the affordable and easy availability of NCERT publications nationwide, with a focus on Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. By leveraging its extensive reach, Flipkart will facilitate the sale and distribution of NCERT books through authorized sellers designated by NCERT, making them more accessible to students and parents.

The partnership aims to support the Government of India's mission to promote inclusive education and democratize access to learning. The MoU was signed on December 16 in Delhi at the NCERT office, in the presence of Hon'ble Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Education; Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State for Education; and Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Flipkart Group. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in expanding access to high-quality educational content.

Flipkart’s platform will ensure greater reach to urban and rural India, providing last-mile connectivity and access to authentic, high-quality NCERT content. Speaking at the MoU signing, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan highlighted the role of NCERT in shaping India’s education system and emphasized the importance of technological solutions in fostering a future-ready generation.

Rajneesh Kumar of Flipkart stated, “Education is the foundation of progress, and this partnership will help us bridge the gap in access to affordable learning resources for millions of students across the country.”
