Makar Sankranti Celebrated at Central Public School

Makar Sankranti was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Central Public Senior Secondary School, located in New Bhupalpura. The entire school campus was beautifully decorated, reflecting the essence of the festival. During the morning assembly, students were informed about the significance of the festival, followed by Surya Namaskar accompanied by chanting of mantras.

The Chairperson of the school, Mrs. Alka Sharma, explained the cultural and astronomical importance of Makar Sankranti and emphasized staying connected to Indian traditions. Students Parth Sharma and Akshita Sharma of Class 7 delivered a captivating presentation on Makar Sankranti, adding a cultural vibrancy to the atmosphere.

Traditional offerings of revdi, peanuts, and puffed corn were distributed among the students. They were encouraged to wear traditional attire and participate in cultural games as part of the celebrations. The event was graced by the presence of Chairperson Mrs. Alka Sharma, Directors Mr. Anil Sharma and Mr. Deepak Sharma, Joint Director Mr. Vikram Jeet Singh Shekhawat, Principal Mrs. Poonam Rathore, Administrator Mr. Sunil Babel, and Headmistress Mrs. Krishna Shaktawat, along with all the teaching staff.

The program coordinators, Geetanjali Srivastava and Pooja Trivedi, extended a vote of thanks.
