The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has declared the results for the December session of the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE).
Career counselor Vikas Chhajed informed that the FMGE December 2024 session exam, conducted on January 12, 2025, has been officially announced on the NBEMS website. A total of 45,552 candidates appeared for the exam, out of which 13,149 students passed, while 31,236 failed. Additionally, 1,160 candidates were absent, and the results of 7 candidates have been withheld due to pending verification of face ID or documents.
This time, the overall pass percentage for FMGE was 28.86%, marking an increase of 8.67% compared to the June 2024 and December 2023 sessions. In contrast, the pass percentage stood at 30.83% in December 2022 and the lowest at 10.22% in June 2023.
Candidates can now check their scores and merit lists in PDF format on the official website using their roll numbers. Individual scorecards will be available on the website after January 27.
Notably, the FMGE exam enables students who have completed their medical studies abroad to qualify as doctors in India upon successfully passing the exam.
