Udaipur: On the 56th death anniversary of the last poet of Mewar, Kaviraav Mohan Singh, the Vice-Chancellor of Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Prof. Shiv Singh Sarangdevot, paid tribute by offering flowers at his portrait. Prof. Sarangdevot stated that Kaviraav Mohan Singh is known as the last poet of Mewar and has made an invaluable contribution to the literary world. Mohan Singh remained active during the reign of the last ruler, Maharana Bhupal Singh, up until 1947. Throughout his lifetime, the poet wrote more than three dozen books in Rajasthani and Hindi, which constitute a significant contribution to the field of literature. A chair in the name of Kaviraav Mohan Singh has been established at the university. The founder of the Vidyapeeth, Janu Bhai, had once invited Ravo Mohan Singh for the promotion of education at the institution. Prof. Sarangdevot also vowed to bring the unpublished works of Kaviraav Mohan Singh to the public, so the younger generation could gain inspiration from them.
On this occasion, Chancellor Bhawar Lal Gurjar mentioned that this reflects the immense respect and importance given to educators and poets in Mewar. Undoubtedly, Kaviraav Mohan Singh, starting from Mewar, is known worldwide for his incomparable contribution and talent in literature, making him a source of immense pride for Mewar.
