AI and Indian Knowledge Tradition Complement Each Other: Prof. Sarangdevot

Udaipur: An international seminar on “Promoting Multidisciplinary Research for Sustainability through AI Excellence” was organized jointly by Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, Bhavnagar’s Nandkunwarba Women’s Arts College, and JK Sarvaiya College.

During the closing session, Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot, Vice-Chancellor of the university, emphasized that AI and Indian knowledge traditions complement each other in many areas. He mentioned that Dr. D.S. Kothari, the principal architect of India's first education policy, was from Udaipur, and the proposals he made are still reflected in the National Education Policy 2020. Prof. Sarangdevot also highlighted that if these reforms had been implemented earlier, India wouldn't have struggled to become a "Vishwaguru" (World Leader). He likened the flow of Indian knowledge tradition to the Ganga River, with the Rigveda as its source, the Upanishads at Devprayag, and Vedanta as its ultimate form. This illustrates the continuous refinement process in Indian culture.

Prof. Sarangdevot also pointed out that in Indian music theory, mathematical formulas are written as songs, exemplifying multidisciplinary study. On AI's impact, he expressed concerns about job loss, but reassured that AI will benefit those who skillfully use it, rather than replace them.

**Multidisciplinary Collaboration Essential on Global Scale: Prof. Chauhan**

The chief guest, Prof. Pratap Singh Chauhan, emphasized the necessity of global multidisciplinary collaboration. Experts from fields such as management, commerce, science, humanities, engineering, architecture, agriculture, law, and journalism must come together to develop a comprehensive and effective AI-driven methodology. **AI-Based Multidisciplinary Research for Sustainable Solutions**

Dr. Ravindra Singh Sarvaiya, while sharing the conclusions of the research papers presented at the seminar, stated that AI is crucial for advancing towards sustainability. He highlighted that AI-based multidisciplinary research is essential for addressing challenges like climate change, economic disparity, energy conservation, and agricultural productivity.
