WCAIAA 2023- World Conference on Artificial Intelligence: Advances and Applications

Fostering knowledge exchange, research and collaboration the Department of CSE, Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur organised the World Conference on Artificial Intelligence: Advances and Applications (WCAIAA 2023) in association with the Soft Computing Research Society (SCRS) on March 18-19, 2023. The President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Padmakali Banerjee in the opening remarks accentuated the importance of integrating AI with sustainability and using it for data analysis, prediction, and decision-making. The Conference Chair Prof. (Dr.) DarpanAnand, Head, CSE briefed the audience about the conference and advanced AI Applications.
The Chief Guest Dr. Buddha Chandrashekar, Chief Coordinating Officer, AICTE Ministry of Education demonstrated various AI-based applications developed by AICTE as Anuvadini, National Internship platform, Digital Skilling Platform and NEAT.He mentioned Artificial Intelligence as Advance India andshared several ideas about startups, innovation, and research to all the participants and dignitaries.  Dr. Harish Sharma, Head CSE-Rajasthan Technical University, Kota gave a brief description of the Soft Computing Research Society.
A good number of 172 papers across the world were received and 46 papers were accepted for final technical presentationand will be published in the Web of Science indexed Springer book series, ‘Algorithms for Intelligent Systems’. Researchers from premier institutes like IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIIT Pune, NIT Silcher, IBS Hydrabad, VIT, BITS Pilani and many others presented their papers
Six Hour Express Hacathon focusing on solving various real-time problems using the concept of Artificial Intelligence in collaboration with SPSU’s industry partner Xebia was also organised. Soft Computing Research Society conducted a panel discussion on ‘How to prepare for upcoming placement drives in Artificial Intelligence Technology’. 
The Conference brought together researchers, academics, industry leaders, and policymakers from around the world to share their latest findings and insights on the latest advances in AI technology and its applications and concentrated on a wide range of topics, such as deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, reinforcement learning and ethical considerations in AI. 
Prof. (Dr.) Arun Kumar, Dean School of Engineering presented the vote of thanks. Mr. Harsh Bansal, Mr. Gurpreet Singh, Dr. Chandani Joshi, Dr. MukeshKalla, Dr. Ashutosh Gupta along with other faculty members coordinated the sessions.
