#GMCH :Hosts 'Fresher Fest' to Welcome MBBS Batch 2023

Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital organized a grand 'Fresher Fest' to welcome the new MBBS Batch of 2023.

The event commenced with a traditional prayer, lamp lighting, and a garlanding ceremony of the statue of Goddess Saraswati. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. Ankit Agarwal, Executive Director of Geetanjali Group, who was the chief guest, along with special guests Dr. S.K. Luhadia, Vice-Chancellor of Geetanjali University, Dr. Sangeeta Gupta, Dean of GMCH, Dr. Manjinder Kaur, Additional Principal of GMCH, Dr. Arvind Yadav, Dean of PG Studies at GU, and Dr. Dad, Principal of Paramedical Sciences.

Students from MBBS batches 2022 and 2023 showcased their talents through songs, dances, and skits. The highlight of the event was the Mr. and Miss Fresher competition, where participants walked the ramp and displayed their best talents before the judges. The judging panel included Dr. Jitendra Jeengar, Professor of Psychiatry, Dr. Naren Kurmi, Professor of Physiology, Dr. Anjana Verma, Professor of Community Medicine, and Dr. Charu Sharma, Associate Professor of Anesthesia.

In her address, Dr. Sangeeta Gupta, Dean of GMCH, encouraged students to foster strong bonds between seniors and juniors. Dr. S.K. Luhadia, Vice-Chancellor of Geetanjali University, elaborated on the theme of the event, 'Angels and Demons,' and discussed the coexistence of good and evil within humans.

Tanisha Jala was crowned 'Miss Fresher 2023,' and Pranjal Jain won the title of 'Mr. Fresher 2023.' The titles were bestowed by the chief guest, Mr. Ankit Agarwal.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Monali Sonawane, Professor of Anatomy. The event was coordinated by Dr. Monali Sonawane, Dr. Usha Kumar, Assistant Professor of Physiology, Miss Himanshi Singh, Miss Fresher 2022, and Mr. Akshat Yadav, Mr. Fresher 2022.
