Geetanjali Institute Hosts Continuing Pharmacy Education Program

The Geetanjali Institute of Pharmacy and the Rajasthan Pharmacy Council organized a continuing education program on Sunday. In this program, speakers from the Pharmacy Council, Drug Control Department, Udaipur Drug and Chemist Association, and Parivar Seva Sansthan addressed over 400 participating pharmacists from Udaipur division, as well as principals and professors from various colleges. The discussions covered topics such as changes in the Pharmacy Act, the process of pharmacy registration and renewal by the council, the correct use of over-the-counter medicines, patient counseling, penalties for prohibited drug use as outlined by the Drug Control Department, and the role of pharmacists in the family planning mission.

The Council's President, Mr. Mahaveer Sogani, Vice President Mr. Ajay Agarwal, and Registrar Mr. Narendra Kumar discussed various decisions made by the council in the interest of pharmacists. Speakers from the Chemist Association presented various proposals to the council and shared their views.

Professor Mahendra Singh Rathore, the Principal of Geetanjali Pharmacy and the convener of this program, welcomed the guests and highlighted various pharmacy activities conducted at Geetanjali University. Council member and coordinator Mr. Alok Bhargava shared his thoughts on behalf of the council. On behalf of the administration of Geetanjali University, Executive Director Mr. Ankit Agarwal, Vice-Chancellor Dr. S.K. Luhadia, and Registrar Mr. Mayur Rawal sent their best wishes for the successful organization of this continuing education program. The event was conducted by Dr. Udichi.
