#### Successful Celebration of ‘National Oral Medicine and Radiology Day’ at Geetanjali Dental and Research Institute

Under the aegis of the Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology, a grand event was organized at Geetanjali Dental and Research Institute on the occasion of “National Oral Medicine and Radiology Day.” The event was hosted by the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, led by Head of Department and Professor Dr. Simi Thankeppan, Professor Dr. S. Bhuvaneshwari, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ashni Chatterjee.

As part of the program, a guest lecture was delivered by Dr. Ashish Jakhetia on the topic "Oral Pre-cancer and Cancer: Special Focus on the Management of Oral Cancer."

During the event, the new department logo was also unveiled, symbolizing the department’s vision and commitment to comprehensive oral healthcare and diagnostic services. The logo was formally launched by the respected Principal, Dr. Balaji Manohar, who also addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech.

Various competitions were held to mark the occasion, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students across all batches. The winners of the events were:

Video Making Competition – Ms. Arpita Rajan and Ms. Aditi Sharma (BDS Interns)

E-Poster Making Competition – Mr. Amit Kumawat (BDS Final Year)

Outstanding academic performers from the final year university exams of the Oral Medicine and Radiology Department were also honored and felicitated during the ceremony.

Following the OMR Day celebrations, the department marked the inauguration of a new CBCT machine. The ribbon-cutting was performed by Dr. Rakesh Kumar Vyas, Vice Chancellor of Geetanjali University, ushering in a new chapter for the Radiology Department.

The entire event was filled with enthusiasm and energy, making it a grand success.
