The inaugural ceremony was held at Mangalpura School premises in Kuraj, Rajsamand, in the presence of MLA Deepti Maheshwari, Hindustan Zinc CEO Arun Misra, CFO Sandeep Modi, CHRO Munish Vasudeva, Vedanta Group CSR Head Anupam Nidhi, officials from Hindustan Zinc, district administration representatives, village sarpanches, and local community members. The guests inaugurated the Kuraj Nand Ghar by cutting the ribbon, while other Nand Ghars were inaugurated digitally. Symbolic keys were handed over to Anganwadi workers, and learning kits were distributed to children.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Deepti Maheshwari emphasized the importance of modern Anganwadis in fostering holistic community development. She lauded the efforts of Hindustan Zinc and the Anil Agarwal Foundation in strengthening Rajasthan’s early childhood care and education ecosystem, calling it a significant step toward Rajsamand’s development. She stated that the Nand Ghar initiative reflects a shared vision of grassroots development for women and children, supported by the government, district administration, Anil Agarwal Foundation, and Hindustan Zinc.

He stated that the inauguration of over 100 Nand Ghars demonstrates Hindustan Zinc’s dedication to empowering women and transforming rural communities by providing access to education, healthcare, and nutrition for children.
Nand Ghar is a flagship community initiative of the Anil Agarwal Foundation, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India. These modern Anganwadis offer holistic development opportunities through nutrition programs, digital early childhood education, healthcare services, and women empowerment activities. With the latest inaugurations in Kuraj, Hindustan Zinc continues to play a pivotal role in strengthening grassroots development in Rajasthan’s rural communities through its existing Nand Ghars in Rajsamand and Relmagra blocks. This expansion aligns with the Anil Agarwal Foundation’s ambitious vision of establishing 25,000 Nand Ghars across Rajasthan over the next two years, promoting sustainable rural transformation.
Equipped with e-learning tools and healthcare services, Nand Ghars are setting a new benchmark for rural community development, reinforcing Vedanta and Hindustan Zinc’s commitment to sustainable development and social transformation in India.
