Review meeting of the Medical, Health, and Family Welfare Department

During a divisional level review meeting of the Medical, Health, and Family Welfare Department held in Udaipur, Additional Chief Secretary Smt. Shubhra Singh emphasized the government's commitment to strengthen health services. She mentioned that the government has introduced schemes like Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana and Right to Health to ensure healthcare access for the common man. Smt. Singh urged departmental officers to conduct regular field visits to monitor the implementation of schemes and provide assistance to those in need.

Director (Public Health) Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur provided departmental updates, stating that efforts are being made to equip government medical institutions with necessary resources and staff. He encouraged officers to maximize the outreach of flagship government schemes to benefit as many people as possible.

Director RCH Lokesh Chaturvedi offered necessary guidelines while discussing the progress of programs related to maternal and child health. Zulfikar Qazi, Joint Director of the Medical Department, welcomed the senior officers and briefed them about the health services in all the districts of the division. Deputy Director Dr. Pankaj Jain presented the plan-wise progress through a presentation.

During the review, Additional Chief Secretary Singh inquired about the implementation progress of the Chief Minister's budget announcements, including the establishment of new district hospitals, sub-district hospitals, trauma centers, CHCs, PHCs, and sub-health centers. She directed officials to coordinate with district administrations to address land-related issues and ensure timely arrangements. The condition of buildings in medical institutions was also discussed, and instructions were given to assess repairable buildings and make necessary proposals for repairs.

The ACS emphasized the importance of staffing newly created medical institutions first and discussed the need to connect 15% of families not registered under the Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme in the division through a campaign. Pending claims under the scheme were to be cleared promptly.

The progress of various schemes, such as Janata Clinic, Chief Minister's Free Medicine Scheme, Free Testing Scheme, Pure War Campaign, Family Welfare initiatives to reduce maternal and child mortality rates, Institutional Delivery Promotion, Malnutrition Treatment Centers, Anemia Mukt Rajasthan Abhiyan, and others, was reviewed. Necessary guidelines were given to officials responsible for the implementation of these schemes in the respective districts.
