### Shine India Honored as the State's Outstanding Social Organization for Organ Donation Efforts

On the eve of National Organ Donation Day, the Shine India Foundation was honored by the Department of Medical Education, Government of Rajasthan, for its exemplary work in the field of organ donation. The ceremony took place at RHSDP Hall, Health Bhawan, Jaipur, in the presence of Rajasthan's Minister of State for Medical Education, Mr. Gajendra Singh Khimsar, and Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Shubhra Singh.

National Organ Donation Day is celebrated across India on August 3 to raise awareness about organ donation and honor the families of organ donors. During the event, Dr. Shubhra Singh recognized the families who donated organs over the past year in the state.

In addition, government doctors, nursing staff, joint directors, CMHOs, and Shine India Foundation were also acknowledged for their contributions to the field of organ donation. Dr. Shubhra Singh presented a certificate of appreciation to Dr. Kulwant Gaur, the founder of Shine India, and member Mrityunjay Gaur.

It is noteworthy that in the past month, Shine India has conducted an intensive organ donation awareness campaign not only in Kota city but also in the surrounding rural areas, promoting eye donation, organ donation, and body donation. Due to the foundation's efforts, Kota is known as "Netradani Nagari" (City of Eye Donors) in Rajasthan.

For the past 13 years, Shine India has been working relentlessly in the field of eye donation in the Kota division. Through the foundation's tireless efforts, over 1,300 eye donations have been facilitated. Dr. Gaur emphasizes that eye donation is the first step towards promoting organ donation at the grassroots level.
