###Priya Agarwal Hebbar Inspires IIM Udaipur Graduates with Powerful Address*

Udaipur, Ms. Priya Agarwal Hebbar, Chairperson of Hindustan Zinc Limited, the world’s second-largest integrated zinc producer, addressed the graduating students of the Indian Institute of Management Udaipur (IIM Udaipur) as the Chief Guest at their convocation ceremony today. 

Engaging with students and faculty, Ms. Hebbar shared her experiences, infusing the room with motivation and pride. In her keynote address, she emphasized the importance of embracing discomfort for growth, stating, “Have faith in discomfort! To grow, you will have to put yourself in situations that you are not comfortable with.”

Ms. Hebbar encouraged the graduates to break away from conventional norms, saying, “Normal is just another word for uninspired and mediocre – so break the sclerotic definitions that the world assigns and dance to the rhythm of your quirky heart & mind.”

Addressing the Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration for Working Executives, 2024, she shared her journey and highlighted her motto of being comfortable in discomfort. She emphasized having faith in the challenges life presents and the valuable lessons they bring.

As Chairperson of Hindustan Zinc and Non-Executive Director at Vedanta Limited, Ms. Hebbar has driven transformational change in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Passionate about the environment and sustainability, she has played a key role in the ESG transformation at Vedanta, focusing on decarbonization, water positivity, workplace safety, community welfare, and workforce diversity.

Ms. Hebbar concluded her remarks by reminding graduates that life is about more than accomplishments and material gains, saying, "Life is messy."
