Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival 2025 Announced

Udaipur: The much-awaited 7th edition of the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival will be held from February 7 to 9, 2025. Conceptualized by Sehar in collaboration with the Rajasthan Tourism Department, the festival is sponsored by Vedanta Hindustan Zinc Limited. This year’s theme focuses on "Preserving and Promoting Forgotten Musical Instruments like Sarangi and Rajasthan’s Traditions." The festival will be free for all, making it an inclusive cultural experience for everyone.

The festival will feature 22 bands and 150 artists from 15 countries, including Argentina, Iran, Sweden, Spain, Ivory Coast, Kurdistan, Germany, Hungary, and Réunion Island. Many international artists will be performing in India for the first time. Additionally, renowned Indian musicians Shaan, Karsh Kale, Kanika Kapoor, and Faridkot will also grace the event. This grand festival promises to be an unforgettable experience for music lovers across the world.

The festival will take place at three prestigious venues in Udaipur—Gandhi Ground, Manji Ka Ghat, and Fateh Sagar Pal. It will begin with a musical evening at Gandhi Ground on February 7 at 6 PM. On February 8 and 9, from 8 to 10 AM, meditation sessions will be held at Manji Ka Ghat, with the scenic backdrop of City Palace, Jag Mandir, and heritage hotels enhancing the sunrise experience. Afternoon sessions at Fateh Sagar Pal from 3 to 5 PM will offer a romantic musical experience by the lake. The evening performances at Gandhi Ground from 6 to 10 PM will feature high-energy concerts under the stars.

Sehar’s founder, Sanjeev Bhargava, emphasized the significance of the event, stating that the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival is a celebration of musical diversity and cultural heritage. The festival provides a platform for both traditional and contemporary artists, allowing them to connect with global audiences through their art. Music has the power to unite cultures and transcend barriers, and this festival beautifully embodies that spirit.
