Hindustan Zinc Launches Mobile Health Van for Rural Healthcare at Jawar Mines

Udaipur: As part of its ongoing community health initiative, Hindustan Zinc, in collaboration with Mamta Health Institute for Mother and Child, launched a mobile health van to provide primary healthcare services to 26 villages around Jawar Mines. The mobile van is designed to bring essential healthcare services directly to the communities, offering health check-ups, vaccinations, and basic treatments. This initiative aims to address the healthcare gap in remote areas and ensure that vital medical services are easily accessible to those in greatest need, ultimately improving overall health awareness in the region.

The launch ceremony, held at the TDI community center, saw the Chief Medical Health Officer of Udaipur, Dr. Ashok Aditya, and Ram Murari, CEO of Jawar Business Unit, IBU, flagging off the health van. Dr. Aditya praised the project and emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between community health programs and government services to reach rural populations. He encouraged the community to make full use of the van’s services for better health outcomes. Ram Murari described the launch of the mobile health van as a milestone in Hindustan Zinc's ongoing efforts to improve community health services.

The program also saw the participation of Nidhi Yadav, BCMO Girwa, Amrit Meghwal, Naib Tehsildar Barapal, Sarpanch TDI Banshilal Meena, Sarpanch Nevatlai Kishan Lal Meena, and social worker Laxman Meena from Amarpura.

The mobile health van initiative marks a significant step in making healthcare more accessible to rural communities in remote areas, ensuring timely treatment and medications for seasonal and common diseases. Since 2018, Hindustan Zinc has been committed to improving rural health through various community initiatives. With an outreach to 110 villages in Bhilwara, Rajsamand, Chittorgarh, and Udaipur, the company estimates benefiting approximately 1.62 lakh people. This initiative demonstrates Hindustan Zinc’s continued commitment to enhancing healthcare access and awareness in underserved regions of Rajasthan, including Bhilwara, Rajsamand, Ajmer, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, and Salumber across 7 locations and 5 districts.
