Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma participated in the Maha Kumbh 2025 at Prayagraj on Sunday. At the sacred Triveni Sangam, he performed a ritual bath, offered prayers to the Sun God, and sought blessings for Rajasthan's prosperity. Accompanying him was his son Abhishek, who also took a holy dip at the confluence of the rivers.
Post his spiritual rituals, CM Sharma shared his experience on his social media account, stating, “It was a divine privilege to take a holy dip at the sacred Triveni Sangam during the grand confluence of faith and unity, Maha Kumbh 2025. I prayed for the well-being, prosperity, and health of all Rajasthan residents after visiting the revered Lord Hanuman temple and performing rituals.”
The Rajasthan Chief Minister commended the excellent arrangements at the Maha Kumbh, calling it a magnificent amalgamation of faith, unity, and harmony. He was accompanied by Chandrashekhar, former Rajasthan BJP organizational secretary and current Telangana BJP state secretary.
Rajasthan Pavilion: A Cultural Marvel
For the first time, under the initiative of CM Sharma, a Rajasthan-themed pavilion has been established at the Maha Kumbh to cater to the needs of Rajasthan devotees. The haveli-style pavilion has become a major attraction, showcasing Rajasthan's cultural richness.
Before visiting the Sangam, CM Sharma inspected the pavilion and instructed officials to ensure the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and free modern amenities for devotees. The Chief Minister emphasized regular monitoring to maintain a seamless experience for visitors.
Blessings from Saints and Spiritual Leaders
During his Prayagraj visit, CM Sharma also met saints and spiritual leaders, including Tulsi Peethadhishwar Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Ji, seeking their blessings. He participated in yajnas and shared moments of spiritual connection. On his social media, he expressed gratitude for the saints' blessings, praying for a prosperous and spiritually enriched life for the people of Rajasthan.
He also attended the 118th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat” program at the Rajasthan Pavilion, alongside saints and devotees.
Promoting Rajasthan at National Platforms
Before the Maha Kumbh, CM Sharma attended a Pravasi Rajasthani Sammelan in Bengaluru, where he lauded the contributions of Rajasthanis globally. He remarked, “Rajasthanis have proven their mettle worldwide. Their role in enhancing India’s GDP and their deep-rooted connection to Rajasthan’s culture are commendable.”
CM Sharma’s participation in both the Maha Kumbh and the Pravasi Sammelan, despite his demanding schedule, underscores his dedication to connecting with spiritual and cultural roots.
