T###aziyas Processed in Somber Atmosphere

Kota,  In remembrance of Hazrat Imam Hussain, Taziyas were processed today in various parts of the city, including Kaithun, Annat Pura, Vigyan Nagar, Chhawani, Karbala, Ghanta Ghar, and Bhimganj Mandi. The processions were accompanied by mournful tunes and drumbeats, with chants of "Ya Ali" and "Ya Hussain" resonating throughout. Many devout Muslims observed fasts and engaged in prayers.

Several devotees set up stalls to distribute milk and sherbet. During the processions, performers showcased their skills, and some fulfilled their vows by piercing their bodies. In Kishorpura, the family of Baba Sabbir has been crafting the unique Rai Taziya for three generations, claiming it to be the only one of its kind in Rajasthan. They start constructing it as soon as the new moon is sighted, completing it in 10 days using 7.5 kilograms of mustard seeds, 30 bamboo sticks, and date palm mats to create nine domes. The mustard seeds are sprinkled on a cotton-lined mat and watered regularly to ensure growth.
