New Delhi: On Teacher's Day, President Droupadi Murmu honored two teachers from Rajasthan during a grand ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. The ceremony recognized a total of 50 teachers nationwide, including Baljinder Singh Brar from Ganganagar and Hukamchand Chaudhary from Bikaner.
These teachers were selected for their exceptional contributions to the field of education and their innovative approaches to social work. Both Rajasthan teachers received a Silver Medal, a certificate, and a cash prize of ₹50,000 each. Baljinder Singh Brar, who teaches at Padampur Government Senior Secondary School in Ganganagar district, was recognized for his innovations in education, health, and safety. Similarly, Hukamchand Chaudhary, who teaches at Government Senior Secondary School BSF in Bikaner, was honored for his efforts in promoting girls' education, increasing enrollment, integrating technology through ICT, and undertaking activities like tree plantation.
In addition to these two teachers from Rajasthan, President Murmu honored one teacher each from Haryana, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Assam, Nagaland, Tripura, Mizoram, Sikkim, and two teachers each from Gujarat, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Kerala, Maharashtra, and Telangana. Additionally, two teachers from CBSE schools, two from the Central School Organization, one from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, and one from the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination were also recognized.
