Voting Concludes in 10 States for 31 Assembly Seats and Wayanad Lok Sabha Seat

*Udaipur, Voting concluded on Wednesday for the by-elections in 31 assembly constituencies across 10 states, including the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in Kerala. In Rajasthan, voting took place in seven assembly seats where 69 candidates contested. Incidents of minor disturbances were reported, with a notable one at the Samravata polling center in Tonk’s Deoli-Uniara constituency, where independent candidate Naresh Meena allegedly slapped an SDM who was mediating with locals boycotting the vote.

Key figures, such as DIG Rajendra Prasad Goyal and CMO Dr. Mahesh Chand Meena, were present at various events. The RAS Association has demanded the arrest of Naresh Meena, threatening a statewide pen-down strike if action is not taken.

In Rajasthan, a 64.82% voter turnout was recorded, with Ramgarh at the highest at 71.45% and Dausa the lowest at 55.63%. Final results for these elections will be announced on November 23, and all eyes are on the outcomes, particularly in Wayanad where Priyanka Gandhi is running, potentially marking three Gandhi family members in Parliament.
