Public Path Cleared of Encroachment in Fatehgarh

Under the instructions of the Fatehgarh Sub-Divisional Officer, the public road leading from Fatehgarh to Jhinjhiniali Mandai Road via Daukiyo ki Dhani was cleared of encroachments. This road had been illegally blocked and occupied by Fatan Khan, son of Mugal Khan, and Ratna Khan, son of Mugal Khan, both residents of Fatehgarh. Acting on complaints, Fatehgarh Tehsildar Shiv Prasad Sharma directed Patwari Shivnath Singh, Land Records Inspector Harwant Dan, and the local police to ensure the road was opened as per government records and site inspection.

Upon reaching the site, the Patwari and Land Records Inspector verified the closure against official records and cleared the encroachment using a JCB machine. The land in question, recorded under Khasra No. 159/507 and Khasra No. 518/158 (0.1132 hectares), was classified as state-owned land (Sivai Chak). Therefore, the road was restored for public use in the interest of the state. This path had been historically operational.

Following the clearance, the officials prepared a report and warned the encroachers not to encroach on government lands, including grazing lands (gochar), forest areas (oran), connectors (jod), or pathways (paytan) in the future.

Tehsildar Shiv Prasad Sharma emphasized that encroachments on government land, including gochar, oran, jod, and paytan, will not be tolerated. He added that the campaign began on Sunday and similar drives to remove encroachments are planned for Fatehgarh Sub-Divisional Headquarters and Kodiasar in the coming days.
