Mumbai: The Honorable Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Hari Bhau Bagde, arrived in Mumbai on Thursday evening for a one-day visit. He spent the night at the Raj Bhavan located in Malabar Hills. On Friday morning, he traveled by road to D.Y. Patil University in Navi Mumbai and participated in the 2024-25 Vice-Chancellors' meeting of AIU West Zone, organized by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi (Mrs. Pankaj Mittal).
Shri Bagde had lunch at Rajasthan Bhavan in Vashi, where he was warmly welcomed by Deputy General Manager Jitendra Chaudhary, Sajna Chaudhary, and Shashikanta Sharma. Later, the Governor was felicitated at Rajasthan Bhavan in Vashi by the Rajasthan Vikas Parishad. The ceremony was attended by the President of the organization, Shri Rajendra Dadhich, Senior Vice-President Shri Rajendra Sharma, General Secretary Shri Mahesh Kaswan, Secretary Shri Shyam Sundar Parikh, and active member Shri Mukesh Pujari.
During his visit, Shri Bagde inquired about the Rajasthani migrants residing in Navi Mumbai and tasked them with the responsibility of encouraging business ventures in their homeland, Rajasthan. Shri Rajendra Dadhich, President of the Rajasthan Vikas Parishad, presented a memorandum to the Governor, requesting active efforts to get the Rajasthani language, spoken by over 70 million people, recognized in the Constitution's Schedule.
Shri Hari Bhau Bagde will depart for Udaipur in the evening via Indigo Flight 6E 5219 from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, where he will participate in various programs.
