Renowned Maru Festival-2025 to be Held from February 9-12

Jaisalmer, January 8. The renowned "Maru Festival-2025" of Jaisalmer district, which has gained international recognition, will be held from February 9 to 12, 2025, for four days. A meeting was organized under the chairmanship of District Collector Pratap Singh to make the festival successful and memorable.

In the meeting, the District Collector reviewed the planned events with tourism department officials and gathered suggestions. He discussed the event with tourism-related officials, hoteliers, and representatives from Sam and Khuhari Resort Society. Emphasizing the grandeur of the festival, he directed the Assistant Director, Tourist Reception Center, to finalize the programs and ensure wide publicity to attract more tourists.

Additionally, he stressed featuring local folk artists during cultural programs to promote the region’s folk music and culture. The meeting was attended by other departmental officials and representatives from the tourism and hotel business sectors.
