Jaipur: The Adventure Team of Sapta Shakti Command etched their names with Golden letters in the annals of history by winning coveted Army Adventure Challenge Cup Trophy 2024-25 for the very first time ever since raising of South Western Command. Army Adventure Challenge Cup is a gruelling triathlon event which was conducted this year in rugged terrain of Yingkiong, Arunachal Pradesh.
Studded with 12 Kms Hill Running, 20 Kms of Mountain Terrain Biking and 18 Kms of White Water Rafting, the event is an ultimate test of physical & mental stamina and resilience. Braving all odds, Team Sapta Shakti completed the event in minimum time to emerge as the Overall Best Team with four of its members bagging individual prizes which included three Gold and a Bronze medal.
Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander, South Western Command felicitated the team, in a formal ceremony organised at Jaipur Military Station on 11 Mar 2025. The Army Commander presented cash prize to the team and outstanding athletes. In addition, five members of the team and support staff were also awarded the prestigious GOC-in-C, South Western Command Commendation Card for their unmatched contribution towards this epochal victory.
During his interaction with the team, Army Commander commended efforts of all team members and also appreciated the valuable assistance rendered by the support staff in training and preparing the team over last six months. The Army Commander emphasised that this unprecedented and momentous victory has brought glory to Sapta Shakti Command and all ranks of the Command feel proud of this feat. He exhorted all ranks to derive inspiration from this victory and strive for excellence in all their endeavours.
