### Udaipur to Witness First-Ever 40-Feet Tall Khatu Shyam Darbar with an Ocean Theme

Udaipur: The 9th grand Shri Shyam Mahotsav, organized by Shri Khatu Shyam Mitra Mandal Trust from May 8 to 10, will witness an extraordinary spectacle this year. For the first time in Udaipur, Baba’s divine darbar will be adorned with an ocean-themed setup. A 3D design, incorporating graphic elements for the first time, will enhance the grandeur of the darbar.

The decoration team, led by Delhi’s Naveen Kasera, has finalized the theme and setup. He shared that for the first time, an ocean-themed darbar will be created, where Vasudev will be depicted carrying baby Shyam through the water—a mesmerizing scene that promises to be a divine experience. A team of 40 members will construct the massive darbar, which will stand 40 feet tall and 80 feet wide. The decoration work will commence in Udaipur after May 1, ensuring that the darbar reflects the splendor of Khatu. The stage will also feature idols of Lord Ganesha, Salasar Balaji, and a unique representation of Lord Krishna as a cowherd.

According to Shyam devotees Dhirendra Sachan, Sunil Bansal, and Shubham Garg from Shri Khatu Shyam Mitra Mandal Trust, the Mahotsav will be held at Fateh School Ground. The festivities will begin on May 8 with a grand Nishan Yatra, where approximately 1,100 devotees will participate. The procession, starting at 6 PM from Fateh School Ground, will pass through various city routes. Additionally, for the first time in Udaipur, a Nagar Bharmann (city tour) of Baba Khatu Shyam will be organized. Devotees must register for the Nishan Yatra with a contribution of ₹1,100, which will be utilized for the Mahotsav. Participants will also receive sacred offerings.

On May 9, the second day of the festival, the Mehendi Ceremony will take place, where women will apply henna in Baba’s name. The main event, Shri Shyam Kirtan, will be held on May 10, starting at 7:15 PM and continuing until divine will. Renowned artists including Nandu Bhaiya from Vrindavan, Naresh Saini from Gurugram, and Bantu Bhaiya from Najafgarh will grace the event. Delhi’s Mahavir Aggarwal Vasu and Mayur Rastogi will also perform. A musical group led by Bundu Bhai from Jaipur will add to the devotional fervor.

Additionally, devotees will be blessed with the presence of Guru Maa Usha Baiji and Guru Shri Umanandji from Chhota Khatu Dham, Najafgarh, along with Pandit Pankaj Sharma. The grand event is set to create an unforgettable spiritual experience for devotees in Udaipur.
