National Herald Case: A Political Conspiracy to Divert Attention

The National Herald case is an attempt by the BJP to divert attention, deceive, and twist facts. It is an effort to distract people from the real issues facing the nation, divert focus from its failures, and distort the freedom struggle while disrespecting the nation's heritage.

The BJP, rattled by the Congress Party's historic Gujarat session, has once again unleashed the Enforcement Directorate (ED), its favorite political weapon, against the Congress. The chargesheet filed by the ED against Congress Parliamentary Party President Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Leader of Opposition Mr. Rahul Gandhi is nothing but a politically motivated conspiracy. Every member of the Gandhi family, whether active in politics or not, is being targeted by the BJP.

Ironically, money laundering charges are being levied in a case where no money or property was transferred. Converting debt into equity to make a balance sheet debt-free is a common and legal practice. If there is no money, where is the laundering?

This is a political scam aimed at silencing the opposition. The Modi government has turned the ED into its election department and is shamelessly misusing it for political vengeance. The conviction rate in ED cases is only 1%, and 98% of the political cases filed by the ED are against opposition leaders.

The conspiracy against Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, Mr. Rahul Gandhi, and Mrs. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is nothing but the misuse of government machinery to attack the leadership and their families with fabricated cases. The BJP is trying to suppress the Congress Party, the only force that has stood by the people and the soul of this country. This is a direct and dangerous attack on democratic opposition and a blatant form of political vengeance. Despite their attempts to silence us, we will not be silenced. Those who try to intimidate others are themselves afraid. This is a political conspiracy, and the Congress will face it head-on. Truth will prevail.
