Donated Eyes Will Give Sight to Two Visually Impaired

Eye Donation Carried Out Following Family's Agreement

Vinod Nagwani, a resident of Gumanpura, has been working as a "Jyoti Mitra" with the Shine India Foundation for a long time. His family had previously donated eyes of his father, Ramesh Nagwani, and his aunt, Sonia Mailani, with the support of Shine India Foundation.

Today, following the sudden demise of Vinod’s aunt, Madhu Nagdev, he immediately discussed eye donation with his uncle, Ashok Nagdev, who gave his consent. Ashok Nagdev expressed his sorrow over the untimely death of his wife, who passed away at a young age without any illness. However, he found solace in the fact that through eye donation, at least two blind individuals would regain their sight and his wife would continue to live on in their eyes.

After obtaining consent, with the guidance of the Shine India Foundation, the eye donation was carried out at their residence in Sindhi Colony by eye bank technician Tinku Ojha. The donation was also supported by the son Rohit, Neeraj, daughter Jaymala, and daughter-in-law Bhavna, who all agreed to this noble cause.
