Kota, December 25: As part of the Kota Festival organized by the District Administration, a Kota Doria fashion show was held on Wednesday evening at Shaurya Ghat, Chambal Riverfront. The event, conducted by Couture Institute of Fashion Technology under the "Panch Gaurav" initiative, aimed to give national and international recognition to Kota Doria.
The event was graced by Energy Minister Hira Lal Nagar as the Chief Guest, with Opposition Leader Vivek Rajvanshi as the Special Guest. Also present were Rajesh Birla, Chairman of the Citizens' Cooperative Bank, and Ashok Maheshwari, General Secretary of the Trade Federation.
General Manager of the Industries Department, Harimohan Sharma, shared that the fashion show featured garments created by Couture Institute students. The collection included Kota Doria zari sarees, lehengas, skirts, leheriya, Western dresses, and kids' frocks, all of which were beautifully showcased on the ramp by models, captivating the audience.
The event also hosted a Kids’ Show and the Kota Queen competition, where participants of all ages showcased their talents. The innocence and creativity of children in the Kids' Show were applauded, while women displayed their grace and confidence through ramp walks in the Kota Queen competition. To encourage participation, entry to the event was free, drawing enthusiasm from all sections of Kota's society.
The program featured mesmerizing dance performances by Attraction Dance Academy, Indra Vihar, and soulful singing by Rajasthani vocalist Tina Sharma, which left the audience enchanted.
The event was organized by Shubham Group, and Director Deepak Rajvanshi, along with other dignitaries, presented awards to the winners. Pooja Rajvanshi, Director of Couture Institute of Fashion Technology, stated that the event aimed to promote women's talent and provide a platform for Kota Doria to gain wider recognition.
With Arvind Sharma as the host, the Kota Festival event not only succeeded in giving Kota Doria a new identity but also set an example by providing a grand stage for local talent.
