In a jubilant celebration, Congress workers in Kota erupted in cheers and fireworks after the Rajasthan High Court reinstated Naeemuddin Guddu as the Chairman of Ladpura Panchayat Samiti. The workers gathered at Ghatotkach Circle, shouting slogans and offering sweets to celebrate the verdict.
Jogendra Birwal Jonti, the President of the Kota South Block Congress Committee, shared that the BJP government had previously removed elected Congress representatives and appointed a caretaker Chairman at Ladpura Panchayat Samiti, which was against democratic principles. However, the Rajasthan High Court, upon reviewing a petition filed by Naeemuddin Guddu, passed an order reinstating him as the Panchayat Samiti Chairman, much to the delight of Congress workers.
Chetan Solanki, the District Secretary of Dehat, stated that Congress workers raised slogans against the government at Ghatotkach Circle, expressing support for Naeemuddin Guddu and the Congress Party.
On February 28, the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department in Jaipur had suspended Naeemuddin Guddu, citing political reasons. However, the Hon'ble Supreme Court intervened and put a stay on the government's decision, reaffirming the legal right of elected representatives.
Jaiesh Shrangi, the President of the Kota South Block Congress Committee, emphasized that despite Congress having a majority, BJP’s Hemant Yadav was given the charge of Chairman, which was a clear violation of democracy and the people's rights. He added that the suspension was politically motivated, and the Rajasthan High Court’s decision reaffirmed that the government cannot act arbitrarily.
Key Congress leaders including Jogendra Birwal Jonti, Jaiesh Shrangi, Chetan Solanki, Rahul Puraswani, Shah Nawaz Sheikh, Ziauddin Raja, Shashank Joshi, Sachin Rajak, Vijay Kumar, Kushal Sen, Karan Jain, Naitik Chakravarti, Manish Arya, Monu Bana, Vedprakash Gurjar, Irfan Pathan, Pratap Singh Hada, Zulfiqar Ali, Radheshyam Bagri, Pankaj, and several others were present during the celebration.
