### Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar Unveils Book on Battle of Haldighati

**Udaipur:** Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, trustee of the Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation and a member of the erstwhile royal family of Mewar, unveiled the newly published book "Haldighati: A Special Study." During the launch event, Dr. Mewar emphasized that the Battle of Haldighati was not a conflict between two princely states but between two opposing ideologies, an amalgamation of which was never possible in Mewar, nor will it ever be. This opposing ideology was against the honor and pride of Mewar and the entirety of India.

Dr. Mewar highlighted that the soil of Haldighati remains a timeless school of inspiration, embodying the exemplary values, bravery, pride, and patriotism of Maharana Pratap. The battlefield narrates the valorous saga of Maharana Pratap and the fierce battle against Mughal commander Man Singh. The "Rakt Talai" is still stained with the blood of countless martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Mewar's honor.

The book, published by Maharana Mewar Historical Publications Trust, Udaipur, is a compilation of research articles by renowned historians across India. It is the result of a two-day national seminar organized by the Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation under the guidance of Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, focusing on the Battle of Haldighati.

### Contributions by Eminent Historians

The book features research insights from historians across various states in India, shedding light on the significance of the Battle of Haldighati. Dr. Mayank Gupta, CEO of the Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, stated that the book aims to present new research findings and analyses of the battle. Scholars have assessed the multifaceted aspects of this world-famous battle, considering it not just a conflict but a pivotal historical event.

The ideals established by the Battle of Haldighati provided Mewar with a vision of freedom, which later became the foundation for India's independence struggle. The book also includes poems by eminent poets like Pandit Narendra Mishra, Madhav Darak, and Shrenidan Charan.
