IIID Beautifies Udaipur's Old City Walls

Udaipur,The Udaipur Chapter of the Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID) successfully concluded the restoration and beautification project of Old City walls on Friday evening at Jaiwana Haveli. The initiative included repairing walls from Lal Ghat to areas along the lake and enhancing their beauty with artistic paintings.

Anjali Dubey, Head of the Udaipur Chapter, described this project as an innovative step towards preserving and beautifying the Old City's lakefronts. She emphasized that human creativity and sensitivity play a vital role in such projects, which cannot be achieved solely with artificial intelligence.

The program was graced by IIID President Sarosh H. Wadia, Inscape Editor Jabeen Zakarias, along with several officials, artists, students, and citizens. The event also saw the launch of the IIID magazine.

Sarosh Wadia stated, "We are more committed than ever to shaping a brighter future through the power of great design. Each of the seven folios in this series highlights unique aspects of our built environment, collectively forming a must-have collector's set."

The project, executed in collaboration with Nippon Paints, is not only a step towards enhancing aesthetics but also an effort to preserve the historical walls along the lakefront. Guests from Mumbai praised the initiative, calling it an inspiration for other cities.
