Udaipur, The division-level convention of the vehicle driver cadre, organized by the All Rajasthan State Drivers and Technical Staff Association, was held on Sunday at the Information Centre near Chetak Circle, Udaipur. Drivers from Udaipur division and regions including Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bhilwara, Kota, and Jhalawar actively participated.
The event featured former State Minister and ex-Vice Chairman of Rajasthan Labor Advisory Board, Jagdishraj Shrimali, as the chief guest. Association State President Ajayveer Singh presided over the convention, with key figures like Senior Vice President Satpal Singh, Udaipur Division President Ajit Singh Medtia, Division In-Charge Banshilal Prajapat, and Forest Department General Secretary Vishnudatt Sharma addressing the gathering.
Shrimali assured the attendees that the organization’s demands would be conveyed to the government. State President Ajayveer Singh emphasized the need for strategic planning for a larger movement, highlighting demands like promotions, regulated duty hours, vehicle insurance, legal assistance, and an end to contractual practices and privatization.
The event, attended by a large number of drivers, was marked by spirited speeches from representatives of various divisions, urging unity to achieve their goals. The session concluded with cultural performances, and notable contributions were honored.
