MP Dr. Rawat Raises Demand in Lok Sabha

Managarh Dham: A Sacred Sanatani Site

Udaipur. Member of Parliament Mannalal Rawat raised the demand in the Lok Sabha on Thursday to declare Managarh Dham as a National Memorial and to create a web series and a film on its historical significance.

During the Zero Hour, Dr. Rawat highlighted that between 1908 and 1913, the Managarh movement took place at the Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh border under the leadership of Govind Guru Ji. Bhil devotees participated in the movement by performing Vedic rituals, yajnas, and worship of Lord Mahadev, while carrying the saffron flag as a symbol of social unity. They also sang songs that represented India as 'Jambudweep,' sending a strong message against colonial rule.

Dr. Rawat emphasized that the sacrifices of Sanatani tribal devotees in this movement have not received due global recognition. He urged that the historical significance of Managarh be documented, published, and depicted through a web series. Additionally, he suggested that a grand film, similar to 'RRR,' be produced to bring this untold story to the forefront and declare Managarh Dham a National Memorial.
