Interaction with the beneficiaries of the Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme

Udaipur : Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot said that the state government is formulating policies and programs with the thought of savings, relief and growth. Inflation is a significant problem in the country at present. The common man is suffering from the brunt of inflation. The state government is committed to reducing the burden of inflation on the public. He said people needed help to buy gas cylinders due to rising prices. Through the Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme, the state government is providing cylinders up to Rs. 1140 for Rs. 500. It is fulfilling promises to relieve the common man from inflation.
Mr Gehlot addressed the beneficiaries of the Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme at the state-level beneficiary festival organized at Rajasthan International Center in Jaipur on Monday. He transferred benefits worth Rs 60 crore to the accounts of 14 lakh beneficiaries in one go at the press of a button. Mr Gehlot said that public welfare schemes are being implemented in the state by making women heads. Through these schemes, public money is being spent on the public in the form of relief. This is not a Revadi but a work of public service. He said that with the savings generated from these schemes of the state government, the beneficiary families could spend on improving the future of their children, their education and other maintenance.
Mr Gehlot said that dearness relief camps are being set up across the state, due to which the burden of dearness has been reduced on the common person. He said that these camps provide maximum relief to the people through 10 schemes. He said that the state government had given gas cylinders for Rs 500, free treatment up to Rs 25 lakh, minimum pension of Rs 1000, insurance of milch animals, Annapurna food kit, Chief Minister Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme and domestic Schemes like 100 units of free electricity per month for consumers, removal of all surcharges up to 200 units of electricity and 2000 units of free electricity per month for agricultural consumers have been implemented. The Chief Minister said that 1.43 crore families have joined the inflation relief camps so far, and 6.44 crore guarantee cards have been given. He said that every section is getting benefited from the state government's schemes.

The central government should implement social security law

Mr Gehlot said that due to the excellent financial management of the state government, welfare schemes are being implemented successfully. State governments take loans for development works only after meeting the standards set by the central government and getting permission. He said that the way the right to education, information, food security and employment was given by the previous central government; on the same lines, the common man has been given the right to health by making a law in the state. The Central Government should enact a law to give eligible citizens the right to social security. The Central Government should declare the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP), important for 13 districts of Rajasthan, as a national project. Otherwise, there is a possibility of an unexpected increase in its cost, like a refinery.

Old pension scheme implemented from a human point of view
The Chief Minister said that the old pension scheme had been implemented in the state from a humanitarian point of view. This has given the employees a sense of security about their future. The employees' future after retirement cannot be put under the stock market. Many states of the country have followed this initiative of Rajasthan. He said that the Central Government should implement OPS in the entire region.
Food and Civil Supplies Minister Mr Pratap Singh Khachariawas said that Rajasthan is the only state in the country to provide gas cylinders for Rs.500. Chief Secretary Smt. Usha Sharma said that the common people are getting relief from the effects of inflation through inflation relief camps. Short films on Inflation Relief Camp and Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme were screened.

Saving will secure the future.
During the interaction with the beneficiaries, Mr Gehlot discussed with them the benefits being received in inflation relief camps and various schemes run by the state government. He reiterated his commitment to providing help strategies to people in need without hassle. Mr Gehlot said that gas cylinders are being given to eligible families for Rs. 500 monthly. The government runs schemes only with public money, so it is your right to get relief. He said that the savings that will be generated from the benefits of the projects will be helpful for the children, which will ensure their future.

Women will soon be given free smartphones with data

Mr Gehlot said that providing smartphones with internet connectivity for 3 years would soon start for women. It is also a medium of women's empowerment. While discussing the Udaan scheme, the Chief Minister said the times have changed. Women should discuss menstrual problems without hesitation. The Chief Minister called upon the state's people to play their part in ensuring that no family is deprived of the benefits of the schemes provided in the dearness relief camps. The state government intends to provide help to every family. For this, everyone must go to the centres and get themselves registered.

Expressing happiness over the receipt of the subsidy amount in her account, beneficiary Mrs Sunita Koli, a resident of Bhilwara district, said that the state government had done an excellent job for people with low incomes by starting the Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme. Mrs Asma Bano, a resident of Bhilwara district, said that she runs her family's livelihood by making beedis. Earlier, she could not buy a gas cylinder due to its high cost. Now they will be able to buy it quickly. Jhalawar resident Mrs Mamta Suman said that her husband had passed away, and she is the only earning member in the house. They have two children, one of whom is physically challenged. They have many benefits due to the cheapness of gas cylinders. With the savings that will be made from this, they will be able to provide good education to their children. Mrs Hemlata, the beneficiary of Jhalawar itself, said that her husband had passed away from Corona. His child's kidney is terrible, which is being treated free of cost by Chiranjeevi Yojana. The economic condition is weak, but the state government is getting financial support from a pension of Rs 1500 per month and other schemes.
Mrs Bhavna Kumari, a resident of the Sirohi district, said that she had got the benefit of 6 schemes in the dearness relief camp. They are incredibly, very happy to get the use of the Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme. Mrs Padma Ben, a resident of the Sirohi district, said that she had reached the benefit of 5 schemes in the camp, due to which the whole family is happy. Mrs Priyanka Kanwar, a resident of Pali district, said that she had got the benefit of free electricity for up to 100 units, gas cylinder for Rs.500, free Annapurna food packet, Chiranjeevi health insurance and Chiranjeevi accident insurance scheme in the camp. Mrs Amin Bano, a resident of Pali district, said that now instead of Rs. 1150, instead of Rs. 1150, her family will get support. He was quickly registered in the camp and got the benefits of 6 schemes. Now that gas cylinders are readily available, there will be support from other schemes as well. Savings will enable further work to be done. Mrs Rashida, a resident of the Bikaner district, said that earlier, before booking a gas cylinder, she had to think about where she would get the money for it. But now they will be able to take cylinders easily. He got the benefit of 6 schemes in the camp. Mrs Asha Kumari and Krishna Devi, residents of Sikar district, said they are pleased to get cheap gas cylinders. They have gained support from this scheme of the state government. He thanked the Chief Minister for this. Mrs Suman Devi, a resident of the Sriganganagar district, said that she had received guarantee cards for 5 schemes in the camp. By getting cheap gas cylinders, there will be ease of living—many thanks for this. Mrs Hina, an old lady from the Sriganganagar district, said that her husband remains ill. Thanks to the state government for the relief, difficulties will be reduced by getting cheap gas cylinders.
Mrs Shashi Devi, a Jaipur district resident, said she is a single parent. Now he is getting a Rs 1000 pension instead of Rs 500. Due to the high cost of gas cylinders, she could not get them refilled earlier. Now thanks to the state government for providing cylinders for Rs.500. They will be able to spend the savings from this relief on the children. Mrs Kanchan Devi, a resident of Jaipur district, said that she is associated with the Women and Child Development Department as an assistant. He thanked the Chief Minister for the cheap gas cylinder. Mrs Taruna Mehta, a resident of Jodhpur district, said that giving cheap gas cylinders is a commendable initiative of the state government. Thanks to the Chief Minister for this.
