Udaipur . During her visit to Rajasthan, President Droupadi Murmu attended a ceremony at Mangarh Dham where various organizations engaged in service work in tribal areas were honored. Among those recognized was Jagdish Prasad Joshi, Vice President of the Rajasthan Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad and a retired chief engineer, who received the Aadi Seva Award for his remarkable contributions to tribal communities.
At 90 years old, Joshi voluntarily lives away from his prosperous family to work on various aspects of village development in remote tribal areas, driven by the belief that village development leads to national progress. His vision is to transform tribal villages into model villages, with a primary focus on livestock and agricultural development. Despite his age, he actively spends time in tribal villages, working tirelessly to address the issues faced by the community.
