36th Annual Awards Ceremony of Tameer Society

Udaipur: The 36th Annual Awards Ceremony of Tameer Society was held on Sunday at the Rotary Bajaj Bhavan on Rani Road. The event recognized the contributions of individuals in various fields including education, healthcare, social service, and other notable sectors, with special honors given to the mothers of martyrs and women of valor.

The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests such as Prof. S. S. Sarangdevot, Vice Chancellor of Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, Prof. Syed Sajid Ali, Sheikh Shabbir Mustafa, Ajay S. Mehta, Asif Mohammad Ansari, and Dr. Iqbal Sagar, Chairman of Tameer Society, Udaipur Ratan. The martyrs’ mothers honored at the event included Fatima Bohra, mother of Shaheed Major Mustafa; Sushila Dharmchand Nagauri, mother of Shaheed Lieutenant Abhinav Nagauri; Bina Virdia, mother of Shaheed Lieutenant Archit Virdia; and Pushpa Meena, wife of Shaheed Soldier Ratan Meena.

In addition, several individuals were recognized for their remarkable work in their respective fields, including Dr. Sweety Chhabra, Dr. Smita Singh, Dr. Pamil Modi, Dr. Sureshchandra Meghwal, Aman Hussain, Dr. Iqbal Sakka, Mukesh Madhvani, Abdul Latif, Yakub Ali, Abbas Ali Rizvi, and Kuldeep Singh Gehlot.

The chief guest, Prof. S. S. Sarangdevot, praised the efforts of Tameer Society, stating, "People are paying the price for progress, and in the rush of life, we often fail to acknowledge goodness. In such times, Tameer Society is not only appreciating these individuals but also honoring them for their invaluable contributions."

Tameer Society's founder, Udaipur Ratan Dr. Iqbal Sagar, spoke about the 36-year journey of the society, mentioning that even the President of India had attended the event in the past. He also highlighted the recognition of Chhotu Hela, a local diver, as a testament to the society’s commitment to honoring all communities and promoting national unity.

Other guests at the event also addressed the audience. The renowned local poet, Mushtaq Chanchal, recited couplets on national unity, while Fatima sang a patriotic song to begin the program. The ceremony started with a recitation of the Quran by Shabbir Mustafa and concluded with a heartfelt thank-you speech from ghazal singer Prem Bhandari.
