"Ideathon" by TiE Udaipur: Young Entrepreneurs Learn About Startups

Udaipur: To promote entrepreneurship among school and college students, encourage innovative business ideas, and improve startup pitching skills, TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) Udaipur organized an event named "Ideathon" today at Little Italy, Udaipur. 

Sandeep Bapna, President of TiE Udaipur, shared that more than 100 participants from various colleges took part in the event, showcasing their creativity and innovation in two categories: school and college. 

He explained that TiE, a non-profit organization focusing on innovation, education, networking, mentorship, and funding, has organized the event to nurture entrepreneurship. The organization’s mission is to entertain and inspire, without relating the content to any real-life events or individuals.

In the college category, the first place went to *Vision Vigil* from Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies, second place was awarded to *Nature News Squad* from College of Technology & Engineering, and third place went to *Sustain Innovators* from College of Technology & Engineering. In the school category, the first place was won by *Beyond Barriers* from Rockwoods International School, second place by *AgriGuard* from Neerja Modi School, and third place by *The Zappa Store* from Rockwoods International School. Winners were awarded cash prizes.

The evaluation of the event was carried out by experts from Udaipur’s industry sector. In the school category, Ruchika Godha, Chief Operating Officer of Advaya Solutions and TiE Women Udaipur Chapter Lead, led the jury. Other jury members included Haseena Chakkiwala from Quality Marble Exports, Aditya Shah, CEO of Advent Edge Education Foundation, Saurabh Vyas, Chief of Growth at StudyBase, and in the college category, Manish Godha, CEO and Founder of Advaya, Aseem Bolia, Director at Hey Concrete, Vishal Sethi, Founder of Clofend.com, and Dr. Sachin Gupta, Assistant Professor at the Business Administration Department of Mohanlal Sukhadia University.

Students from schools and colleges presented their startup ideas, which included innovative concepts such as *Beyond Barriers*, *The Zappa Store*, *Vision Vigil*, *Sustain Innovators*, and *Nature News Squad*.

Announcing TiEcon 2025, Bapna shared that this important event will be held on March 6-7, 2025, at the Radisson Blu in Udaipur. He highlighted that TiEcon 2025 will offer a golden opportunity for networking with industry experts, investors, and entrepreneurs. Attendees will have a chance to pitch their business ideas, receive guidance from experts, attend master classes on business growth and innovation from industry leaders, engage in panel discussions on industry challenges and trends, and participate in fundraising opportunities with investors and venture capitalists.

The keynote speakers at TiEcon 2025 will include several prominent industry figures such as Alok Bajpai, MD and Group CEO of Ijico, Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Swiggy, Vishal Khurana, CEO and Co-Founder of Shiprocket, Dheeraj Jain, Founder of Redcliffe Labs, Natasha Malpani, Venture Capitalist, Rajat Mehta, Director at K Capital, Tej Kapoor, Director at ICICI Ventures, and Nitin Sethi, Joint President and CDO of Adani Group.

Event Coordinator Vikas Shrimali stated that this event organized by TiE Udaipur is a significant step in helping young people realize their entrepreneurial dreams, and TiEcon 2025 will provide a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs.
