Handpump Worship and Water Source Celebration

At the Women's Polytechnic College in Pratap Nagar, a special ceremony was held to celebrate World Water Day. The event involved decorating a handpump with Rangoli and performing a collective water source worship under the guidance of Water Friend Dr. P.C. Jain. The event kicked off with the chanting of the devotional prayer, "Om Jai Jal Dev Hare, Peedit Jan Ka Sankat Jaldi Door Kare," led by the students and staff.

The students operated the handpump to fill water pots and performed rituals by placing a swastika on the handpump. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of water conservation.

Dr. P.C. Jain led the participants in chanting slogans like, "Sabse Bolo Nal Kam Khol, Aakash Pani Rokenge, Paatal Pani Badhayenge, Apni Bijli Pani Apna, Har Ghar Ka Ho Ye Sapna." He also encouraged the students to take a pledge on Rajasthan Day to contribute towards making the state a water-abundant region by conserving rainwater.

Dr. Alka Hada, Meenakshi Sharma, Madhurlata Puri Goswami, Sangeeta Dhoopia, Kavita Mathur, Haricharan Meena, Harishankar Meghwal, Saroj Dhoopia, Lakshmi Ayyar, Mukesh Choudhary, Yogendra Singh Jhalla, and other staff members actively participated in the program.

The Rangoli and decoration around the handpump was created by Priya, Krishika, Radha, Bharti Khokhar, and Riddhi Kothari.

Dr. P.C. Jain concluded the ceremony by thanking everyone for their active participation in the Water Source Worship Week.
