Ensure Transparency in Support Price Procurement, Avoid Difficulties for Farmers - Shri Gautam Dak

Udaipu:  A review meeting of support price procurement and the activities of the Cooperation Department in the Udaipur division was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Cooperation Minister Shri Gautam Kumar Dak at the Central Cooperative Bank Udaipur's headquarters in Pratap Nagar.

The meeting began with the additional registrar of the division, Mrs. Gunjan Choubey, welcoming the attendees and presenting the agenda. During the discussion on support price procurement, Minister Shri Dak directed all officials to work with full transparency. He emphasized that farmers in the region should not face any issues at the support price procurement centers and that maximum farmers should benefit by having their crops procured at the support price.

During the review of the Central Cooperative Banks, the Cooperation Minister urged the Managing Directors to focus on long-term agricultural and non-agricultural loans in addition to short-term loans. He also instructed them to open new branches of the bank and increase the level of deposits. Regional Auditing Officer Shri Ashutosh Bhatt updated the attendees on the progress of audits of the division's societies. Minister Shri Dak stressed that audits should be of high quality, with provisions for surprise inspections and special audits at regular intervals.

During the meeting, all Deputy Registrars of the division were instructed to open more M-PACS (Multi-purpose Cooperative Societies) and ensure timely resolution of cases under various sections of the Act. The Secretaries of the Land Development Banks were directed to promote the one-time settlement scheme issued by the department and recover overdue loans. All warehouse managers and cooperative procurement-supply society managers were encouraged to promote new schemes and expand business within their operational areas.

The meeting was attended by the Managing Directors of all cooperative banks in the Udaipur division, Deputy Registrars of district units, Secretaries of Land Development Banks, warehouse managers, special auditors, and inspectors. At the end of the meeting, the Managing Director of the Central Cooperative Bank, Animesh Purohit, expressed his gratitude.
