Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel announced the formation of Greater Rajasthan in Udaipur on January 14, 1949, and then on March 30, 1949, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru inaugurated Rajasthan in Jaipur, Maharana Bhupal Singh was sworn in as Rajpramukh and Manikya Lal Verma as Chief Minister of Rajasthan and by getting the world's oldest State Mewar merged with the Rajasthan state of independent India.
The President of Global History Forum, Dr.G. L. Menaria, expressed the above idea while presiding over the seminar on "Contribution of Udaipur in the development of Rajasthan" organized by Takshashila Vidyapeeth Institute on Rajasthan Day here in Sector 5.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Manoj Bhatnagar, General Secretary, Mewar History Council, talked about the possibilities of tourism and development in Udaipur and said that it is necessary to preserve and promote the art culture of Rajasthan.
Guest Dr. Gunwant Singh Deora, former president of Rajasthan Ayurveda Medical Officer Association, Udaipur, highlighted Udaipur's history, heritage, picturesque environment, and success stories in the making modern Rajasthan recognized worldwide.
Special guest Shirish Nath Mathur, Divisional Coordinator of All India Kayastha Mahasabha, highlighted the importance of Rajasthan's cultural heritage.
Dr. Gopal Ram Sharma, President of Ayurvedic Doctors Association, Udaipur, Gaurishankar Bhatnagar, National Minister of All India Kayastha Mahasabha, Dr. Mahendra Bhatnagar, Dr. Meenakshi Menaria, Sunny Mathur discussed the development tradition of Rajasthan.
