Faith Sailed on the Waves: Sundarkand Recitation Echoes "Jai Shri Ram" on Fatehsagar Lake

Udaipur — In celebration of the full Fatehsagar Lake, Neem Foundation Udaipur organized a Sundarkand recitation while boating on the lake. Roshni Barot, Founder of Neem Foundation, shared that a similar Sundarkand recitation was previously held when the lake was dry, as a prayer for its refilling. Following the lake’s replenishment, this year’s event was marked by a boating Sundarkand recitation to celebrate the lake's fullness.

On this occasion, members of the Mahakaleshwar Temple’s Ram Bhakt Upasak Mandal, including Chetan Jethi, Dalchand, Ashutosh, Romit Sharma, Balveer, Prince, Uma, Ranjit Singh, Yashoda, Kavita, and other devotees, performed a musical Sundarkand recitation on the boat. The boat circled the lake while the rhythmic beats of the dholak and the sound of manjiras enhanced the joyous atmosphere. Following the recitation, the devotees offered aarti to Lord Ram and the Ganga, and distributed prasad to all attendees.
