District Collector Unveils Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Brochure

Udaipur,  As part of the Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week organized by the Animal Husbandry Department, District Collector Arvind Kumar Poswal on Tuesday unveiled a brochure developed by the department on antimicrobial resistance.

Poswal emphasized the importance of using antibiotics only under the guidance of a doctor and advised protecting animals from unnecessary antibiotic use. Dr. Sharad Arora, Additional Director of the Division, provided details about the week-long awareness campaign and stressed that animal treatments should only be carried out by registered and authorized individuals. He also advised that antibiotics should be used only when necessary, in the proper quantity, at the appropriate time, and for the required duration.

Dr. Surendra Changani, Deputy Director of the institution, informed that these brochures would be distributed throughout the district to raise awareness among the general public.

Present at the event were Dr. Suresh Sharma, Dr. Padma Meel, and Shri Pannalal Sharma from the institution.
