Green People Committee Meeting

Udaipur: A meeting of the Green People Committee members was held on Tuesday at the Forest Building. The meeting was attended by Chairman Rahul Bhatnagar, Vikram Singh Chauhan, Suhail Mazboor, Indrajeet Mathur, Arun Soni, and Dr. Satish Kumar Sharma. 

During the meeting, it was decided that, as in previous years, the Green People Society will participate in the 11th Udaipur Bird Festival this year and will provide necessary support to the Forest Department. The committee's Jaipur unit also decided to organize a bird festival in Jaipur, similar to the one in Udaipur. The committee members agreed on the need to involve more youth in their programs to accelerate the progress of various activities. 

It was also agreed that the plans for the schemes received so far will be prepared and submitted to funding agencies soon. As in previous years, the "Pedal to Jungle" event will be organized in Banswara district for two days this year, in collaboration with GPS, the Forest Department, Udaipur Cycling Club, and the World Wildlife Fund. 

During the meeting, renowned ornithologist Dr. Asad R. Rahmani presented a copy of his book *Living with Birds* to Rahul Bhatnagar. The book highlights the contributions of Rahul Bhatnagar, Vikram Singh Chauhan, Manoj Kulshrestha, Satish Kumar Sharma, and others in bird conservation.
