Good Governance Week - Administration Moves to Villages

Udaipur: As part of the nationwide campaign "Good Governance Week - Administration Moves to Villages - 2024" launched by the central government, camps were organized on Friday at the Mavli, Saira, and Falasia Panchayat Samiti headquarters in the district. The objective of the campaign was to quickly address public grievances and realize the vision of good governance. Tribal Regional Development Minister Shri Babulal Kharadi attended the camp in Falasia, where he distributed benefits to the people.

The grievances submitted through various portals such as the CPGRAMS Portal, Sampark Portal, and applications under the Rajasthan Public Services Guarantee Act 2011 were resolved. People at the camps received immediate relief, and their faces lit up with happiness as they expressed gratitude to the government and administration.

**Happiness Returned to Lakhma and Nanudi’s Lives:**
At the camp held in the Falasia Panchayat Samiti, two elderly individuals had their stalled pensions reinstated on the spot, bringing joy to their faces. Minister Shri Kharadi personally handed them the pension orders. Among them was Lakhma, a resident of Som, who had his pension discontinued since August 2023. Shri Kharadi directed the Sub-Divisional Officer to resolve the issue, and under the supervision of Sub-Divisional Officer Vijayesh Pandya, the pension was reinstated immediately. Similarly, the pension of Nanudi Bai from Patiya village, which had been discontinued for 16 months, was also resumed on the spot. Both beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the central and state governments and the administration.

During the camp, social worker Bhopal Singh, Shobha Devi Champawat, other local representatives, and officials were present.

**Providing Quick Relief to the Public is the Government’s Priority:**
Minister Shri Babulal Kharadi, during his visit to the Falasia camp, took an overview of the services being provided and the resolution of grievances. He emphasized that providing quick relief to the public is a priority for both the central and state governments. He directed officials to respect public sentiments and ensure just and prompt resolution of their issues.

**15-Year-Old Encroachment Removed from Playground:**
In Saira Panchayat Samiti, a camp was held under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Officer Dr. Naresh Soni, and TAD Commissioner Ragini Damor inspected the camp. A grievance regarding encroachment on the playground land of Nandesma Government Higher Secondary School was presented by the school principal, Mrs. Pawanrekha. Despite previous notices, the encroachment had not been removed. Dr. Soni took immediate action and directed Tehsildar Suresh Mehta and Development Officer Devendrakumar to clear the encroachment. The officials, using a JCB, cleared the encroachment from approximately 7 bighas of land and handed over the playground land to the school principal. Local residents and school staff expressed their gratitude. Additionally, during the camp, 14 pension verifications, 12 sanitation payments, 4 new housing approvals, 8 housing assistance payments, 1 revenue record name correction, and 520 MGNREGA labor payments were also processed.

**Family of Deceased Beneficiary of Various Government Schemes:**
In the Saira camp, the family of Khemsingh, who drowned in the Poonawali pond 20 days ago, also attended. They were provided with documents for completing their application for the Accident Insurance Scheme and directed to avail other government benefits. Sub-Divisional Officer Dr. Soni instructed that the family be benefitted from the accident insurance scheme and other schemes. The Development Officer, Devendra Kansal, sanctioned an emergency relief payment of ₹15,000 from the Panchayat Samiti’s private funds to the family. Social Security Officer Praveen Panei initiated a social security pension application for Khemsingh’s wife, Nani Bai, and it was approved on the spot. Similarly, Khemsingh’s two daughters, Harshita and Bhavna, were enrolled in the Palanhar Yojana, and their payment orders were also issued immediately. The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude for receiving such a large number of benefits at the camp.

**Mavli Sees Justice for the Applicant:**
In Mavli, under the nationwide "Good Governance Week - Administration Moves to Villages" campaign, a camp was organized under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Officer Rameshchandra Sirvi. This camp brought relief to Chunia Meghwal, who had applied under Section 75 of the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act 1956 regarding a land dispute. Chunia presented his grievance that, despite being alive, his land was incorrectly transferred after the death of another person with a similar name. After a hearing, the Panchayat agreed that the land belonged to Chunia and ordered the cancellation of the erroneous land transfer, instructing the Tehsildar to process the correct name transfer.

In the same camp, a pregnant woman, Mrs. Raju, from Gadriavas, applied for the second installment of the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, which was immediately registered, and the payment was approved.

**Inspection of Camps and Distribution of Benefits:**
The camp in Mavli was inspected by UDA OSD Jitendra Ojha, and benefits were distributed to the villagers. A total of 325 grievances were received at the camp, of which 276 were resolved on the spot by the concerned authorities. The remaining grievances will be resolved soon.
