400 Sweaters Distributed to Children

Udaipur: On the occasion of Sarla Devi's birthday, the Sarla Devi Charitable Trust distributed warm sweaters to 400 children of the Government Upper Primary School in Chokdiya, Panchayat Samiti Girwa, on Friday morning to protect them from the cold.

A grand ceremony was held at the school premises for the occasion. The event was presided over by the Honorary Secretary of the Trust, CA Dr. Shyam S. Singhi, who assured that the Trust would be informed of any future needs and emphasized that no obstacle should come in the way of the poor children’s education.

Special guest and social worker, Dr. Jitendra Shastri, the State Coordinator of BJP Disaster Relief Department in Rajasthan, shared that the respect for teachers and hard work in studies during childhood stays with a person throughout life.

The Trust’s associate, Sanyam Singhi, stated that their goal is to serve the poorest and most needy children.

Social worker Veerendra Bolya announced a donation of ₹51,000 for the school’s classrooms on this occasion.

The world-famous magician Anchal mesmerized everyone with her magic performance during the event.

Renowned social worker Mr. Bhupendra Shrimali inspired the children to serve the nation through a story.

On this occasion, national poet Rao Ajaatshatru also captivated the audience with his poetry.

At the beginning of the event, the school principal, Mohammad Qazi Ansari, honored the guests by draping them with a traditional turban and Mevadi pagdi.

The vote of thanks was given by Vice-Principal Lata Chauhan, and the event was conducted by senior teacher Vijendra Seth.

Present at the event were Nikita Singhi, Divyam Singhi, Tripta Jain, Girdhari Lal Kumawat, Puneet Saxena, Mahendra Ashiya, Dr. Suresh Dangi, and others.
